Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I completely agree with you. It’s also why I always check the source links whenever I get search results back from either a Google AI-generated result or Perplexity (and I guess now Grok – even though I only just tried it for the first time here).

This is not all that different from what happened when the traditional media / news moved into a 24/7/365 news cycle and the pressure to break a story is now so high that if one outlet sees another outlet report on something, they just jump on it without properly verifying for accuracy because they don’t want to be left behind.

In the blogging / online media world it’s similar, but even more amplified because there are obviously a lot more blogs / websites than there are news networks. And with AI – like you said – it’s just gotten ridiculously out of hand.
